Scuba Diving Lessons

As soon as Doug got home we began lessons to learn how to scuba dive! We are taking classes at Scuba Ted's in Springville. I got my diving card a few months ago with my work, but it was so fun to go through the classes again with Doug. We had to take the accelerated class since we are leaving so soon for our honeymoon (Belize is famous for it's reef diving, which is why we were are so anxious to learn to dive!) We go twice a week for 5 hours each. The first half of the class is book work, and the second half we get to practice diving techniques in the community swimming pool. The funnest part of this class is that we got to go to the crater up in Midway at the Homestead. It is a 60 foot natural hot spring that is great for diving practice. Although Doug forgot his swimming suit up there and had to buy another one, we both loved going to the crater. And this diving practice will really pay off when we hit Belize! YAY!
