However, this post was really supposed to be written about what came after dinner. Doug and I did a bit of shopping at the Mall and then went to Old Navy. For any of you who do not know Doug, let me just explain. He has a very, very easily identifiable personality. When playing the game Imaginiff everyone always picks Doug because he is the easiest for everyone to agree upon. He knows exactly what he does and does not like. And that is what makes this story so funny.Doug never veers away from his traditional personality...until tonight! We went to Old Navy since they have the specific type of cargo shorts, which are the only pair he has ever bought since he was a teenager. Well, times have changed! I guess he was in a strange mood and decided to alter his traditional clothing purchases. We made it home with a whole new array of plaid shorts and cargo tees. Note: Doug has never even thought twice about plaid shorts, and has never once worn a shirt that wasn't blank. He doesn't like any words on his clothing - no brand names, numbers, etc - so this was a big deal!
Since then, weird looks have been popping up from people who know Doug every time we go somewhere. Our families have been the first to comment. The funniest was walking into my house for Sunday dinner. I told Doug before we got there that Allison would for sure say something about his new look. As soon as we walked in the door a weird look came over her face and she said (you'll like this one Kandas), "Woa, You look like Riley!"
I am his wife, so of course I think he looks hot in anything. But I do love his new finds!
