The Prophet's Funeral

Me and Doug spent most of our Saturday afternoon watching the funeral services for President Hinckley. Speaking at his funeral were Virginia Pearce, his daughter, H. David Burton, the Presiding Bishop, Earl C. Tingey of the 70, Boyd K. Packer, President of the Quorum of the 12, Henry B. Eyring, his newest member of the First Presidency, Thomas S. Monson, President Hinckleys 1st Counselor. There were, of course, wonderful things said about his life and service in the Church and what a great man he was. It was truly a great service. And in the words of President Packer, "May our father bless the memory of this gentle prophet and his eternal companion and the sacred work over which he presided."
